The Mountain is You

By: Mia Gabrielle Garcia

A journey lies ahead

To someone who has fled

Towards the path to a mountain

Which requires climbing action

Seems like it’s easier to retreat

But you won’t accept defeat

“Go on,” you tell your feet

There’s a goal you must meet

Each step you take

Makes a lot at stake

You fall, slide, and get hurt

But you brush it off like clothes with dirt

Now, at the top, enjoy your victory

Congratulate yourself, you have made history

But there’s something you must know

This advice will help you grow

The mountain is you

Hear me out, it’s true

Conquer its ridges and steepness

A beautiful future awaits for you to witness
