What are words?

By: Anna Riddo

Words, the feeling of happiness the feeling of worth

The feeling of something fresh and loving of unity and birth

Words are knives that stab you and make you feel alone

Words are pain even though they aren't sticks and stones

Words can be hateful, words can go way back in time

Whether it’s ways people have made mistakes or a past they want to leave behind

Words are beauty, words are pain

Words are crazy or words are insane

Words can not make sense or they can be your peace

Words can be your connection to the world or your way to hide and make it cease

Words are mixed and can be good or bad

They can be the reason we are happy or why we are sad

But the irony of it is that even though we listen or write and are heard

We still cannot describe our love hate relationship with words
