Irene Abbey Day 1

When I got out there

I was doing a lot of reading

I discovered that something 

I got that Beautiful Big Book

I start going through that book

I found something in the garden

I brought it in and went through the book

I discovered what its name was

I just thought…

Yes, we really need to know about them

I can’t think of a number of things

I found and all kinds of things

That’s all I ever learned

I had a wonderful variety

When I was surrounded with nature,

I played outside

I did like flowers

I liked vegetables

I did appreciate water so much more

I did learn a lot that I didn’t know
